Out for a ride last night where caught up with the Hammernight guys for a quick spin up Mountain Avenue, nice to spike the HR up. Jealous of the 16 RMCC guys heading to Pigeon Lake this weekend to race, beauty course with little kickers.

Thought last night's ride was the topper, today trumped it somehow. Out with Keith, Banff 1A to Lake Louise to Hwy 97 N this time....ended up past Hector Lake....about 5hrs riding time.....awesome!

Jack, Christie, Marn and the boys went to Little Bow Friday night for a little getaway, could not join them as worked called. Don't know what to do with this empty house, feels strange.

Headed out for a beauty road ride Saturday evening after work, too bad nobody else around to join. 1A then up Hwy 93S to Stanley Glacier and back. Pretty special scenery on that section of road.

What a fun filled bluebird Sunday.

 9am play at park across the street with the kids where several guys were already prepping their meat for the neighborhood BBQ competition...and cracking beers. Sarge putting the final touches on his eventual winning pig roast. 

10:30am family bike to the Rec Grounds

After lunch lounged on back deck for several hours, Seth and I headed to driving range following

4pm headed to BBQ with at least 100+ other neighbors and locals.  Best deal going...$10 / person gave one unlimited access to wine while sampling 10 dishes ranging from BBQ goat, bacon wrapped stuffed chicken goodness, a range of smoked ribs to the winning pig spit, then cast your vote on the tastiest.

Able to get out for a spur of moment ride last night leaving house at 7:30pm. S.corner / tunnel / minnewanka / j lake loops then was heading back to tunnel when saw 10 guys coming down highway from Hammernight. Joined them back to Canmore for a good pull then 180 degrees back to Banff just in time before complete darkness. Good to see Canada Cup mountain bike champ Matt Hadley mixing it up on the road bike.

Good luck to all the boys racing Velocity this weekend. With 5 RMCC's in Cat 1/2 there should be some podium results out there, likewise in Cat 3.

As well with the massive crew heading to Salmon Arm for the Salty Dog Enduro.  Great to see all the youngsters going for the Salty Pup. Viewing the confirmation list, looks like it will be quite a battle. So wish I was there, super fun course with a long twisting decent to finish the lap.
