All of my postings and I have not added any family, terrible son / brother. A few pics are from X mas at mom and dads in Fairmont, little Connor is the cutest ever. Other pics are from Coleman when he was 3 weeks old at Ailda's.

Glacier Park Montana

August we headed to Montana to visit Marc & Shai - they moved there after Hawaii. We went for a few hikes and drove the Sun Highway. I was blown away by the scenery, it was up there with anything we have ever seen. What a wild highway 4,000 feet above the ground.

Bugaboo Lodge

Due to Marnie's pregnancy, she decided not to stay at the Lodge for the summer. Dave invited us for a pre guest party for Banff staff. Amazing to be back up there and see the contrast from winter to summer. Hans Gmoser sure picked one of the world's most epic backdrops for a lodge. We took in a few hikes up to Conrad Kain Hut and a few lakes. Bluebird days topped it off

Biking

It was my first summer of committing time and energy into biking, ended up in 11 mountain and road races this summer. Being the rookie, started in Novice and moved up to Sport after a few races. The 6 HR Salty Dog race in Salmon Arm was a beauty course of uphill single track with a 10 minute super fun decent. With a May 3rd date, it was a great start to the seaosn. The Giver 8'er on June 1st in Calgary was another blast. I was happy with results at both these races. The Iron Lung and Canada Cup races at the Nordic Center were epic- great to have the coal chutes back. Summer Solstice in Bragg Creek was a blast with the climbs and lengthy descents. The Bow 80 Sept 14th was one of the most epic mtn bike races out there. Snow and mud greated us at the top of j -pound. Then without warning, my right shoe cleat was gone. All of a sudden I look down and no cleat! Hairy descent down j pound then killer climb up cox and even sketchier descent down cox. Doing all of this with 1 shoe clipped in was entertaining..so lucky no bails on the descents, tough climbs . 30 minute slug through calf deep mud on the tom snow trail topped it off. Just a mission to finish..frustrating about the cleat but all part of the fun...or something. Too bad as I was riding well, top 15 at j-pound. -. Road Started in Cat 5 - Stampede Race Masters A- 120km's beautiful day with rolling hills. Chain popped off with 100 feet to go as I sprinted away..5th spot. Bearspaw Race was a learning experience - be more patient. Provincials - patience paid off as I won Cat 5. Moved up to Cat 4. Too bad Norquay hill climb was same days as Bow 80, but Bow 80 was epic!!

24 Hours

End of July brought the 24 hrs Bike Race. With Marnie pregnant, we were scrambling for a female for our team. We lucked out having a friend of Marn's, Joanne, join the team. Unfortunately, Joanne received a concussion the week prior during an Ultimate Frisbee tourney. She decided she will try to ride 2 or3 laps as we did nothave another female rider. She was a tropper for sure, especially when the rain decided to hammer the event 4 hours in. I have experienced dry weather previous 24 hrs, but this was one for the books. Somebody described it as riding in Peanut Butter. One had to walk / run many sections as the roots and rocks were sooo slippery..and sketchy..especially the night laps. Deano did not have the best 1:00 am lap...a broken chain etc. I was getting worried when he was over 2 hrs..7 minutes later he pulled in. I hammered out a 1:02 lap after him and see no team mate upon my arrival, Steve was in the bathroom. I waited 7 minutes for him..we ended up being 2nd by 7 minutes..hilarious!!but not. Great times overall as usual. We had 3 rv sites all together of friends racing. Colin joined us this year as well as Steve from ozzie. Until next year
