Cancellera pulling for 99% of the last 7km's only to be taken at the line.
No shortage of arm chair critics analizing his tactics or lack of....him wanting to keep pulling for the peleton not to engulf the three of them. Too bad the other two could not match his pulls.....hence Cancellera not having the legs for the final 20m sprint.

Main difference with road and mtn biking, the strongest does not always win in road but usually in mountain biking....all about tactics....good on Gerrans for playing it smart!
