Jeez, the family heads out of town where I then squeeze in back to back rides...life as a bachelor.

Another Tour de Banff evening with Keith & Robbie. Momma griz with 3 cubs on Sunshine road

Off to Little Bow this afternoon to chill out for several days.

Marnie headed to Little Bow lake with the boys along with Jack and Christie yesterday afternoon. I will be joining them Saturday after work, excited to relax in the sun for several days.

With an empty house last night, headed out for evening ride with Keith. Off to Sunshine road where at the turn around met up with the Hammernight guys. Grind out with them back to Banff, then Surprise corner suffer over Tunnel. They all headed back to Canmore where we looped Minnewanka and back around Tunnel.

Only my 3rd ride since Sunday's Banff races 11 days ago, the 10 pounds I have put on caught up but surprisingly felt okay out there. My typical 'let it go' after the Banff races as really nothing planned for remaining of summer minus September's Bow 80, no shortage of ice cream and general crap food but will get back on it now.

Hope to get back out tonight after work with Keith.....

The Rundle's Revenge races would have been epic races yesterday, 100 km would be cruel at the Nordic Centre. http://www.zone4.ca/live.asp?id=4954

50km category winner Jon Firth is coming off a 10th place at

with Brian Cooke and Leighton 11th & 14th
Somebody described the conditions ' like riding in Nutella for hours'.

Back on the mountain bike this week, getting excited for September's Bow 80 race.

The company I work with, banffairporter.com, supports a number of Bow Valley athletes in pursuing their dreams.

https://twitter.com/#!/ski_dash has been collaborating 'a local olympian's suggestions for hiking/biking trails, local shops etc' in a brochure for us. Funny in yesterday's e mail, she mentioned they have internet and phone access up on the glacier in Alaska right now. Never out of touch these days, is that good or bad?

RMCC was all over the podium in every stage in all Categories it seemed this weekend. From Fraser nailing Cat 5 to Cat 3 wins in 4 of 5 stages to Sean & Gord's individual road stage wins in Cat 1/2.....team domination through out.

Lake Louise group shot after 4 guys in top 7 in Cat 3 (including 1st & 2nd) and 1st in Cat 1.

2nd place start to Banff Bike Fest in tonight's prologue. Team mate Robin killed it for the win, his time would have given him 3rd in Cat 1 with mine 11th place.

RMCC boys all over the podium in Cat's 4 & 5 with Sean tied for 3rd in Cat 1.

Interestingly, check the final TT pics from his 2010 position to present and how much higher his bars are.

Good luck to all the RMCC boys heading to http://www.mthoodcyclingclassic.com/index.htm

Vintage Tiger, start the round 4 shots back and takes the win. But how he did it on the last 3 holes is what makes him who he is. Nicklaus quoted as saying "the greatest, clutch shot in history". How did he sink that shot, absolutely zero room for error! Then birdies 18 to officially stamp the win.

People love or hate Tiger but one cannot deny his gift as a golfer and mental toughness, inspiration in any sport I believe.
